The spark of genius presumably came from an inventor’s boredom while observing one monochrome swimming trunk after another. The result is a colour-changing garment made from polyester fibres equipped with heat-sensitive microcapsules that react to a change in the temperature of the water.
Then again, for parents wanting to teach their little ones that relieving themselves in a swimming pool is not generally accepted, the bathing trunks could have quite different benefits than originally thought of.
