PLASTIC FANTASTIC
Eggs à la surprise
For visitors to the German island of Langeoog the new year got off with a surprise – well, thousands of surprises to be exact. The storm that raged in the region in early January swept ashore dozens and dozens of Kinder Surprise eggs, likely blown off a container ship. Instead of collecting sea shells, the tourists practiced their egg-hunting skills weeks ahead of Easter.

The flotsam did not include the customary chocolate covering. Either that was supposed to be added at a later point in time, or Poseidon claimed his fair share of this bountiful treasure.
