It is difficult to imagine anything that Stanley Chu, chairman of fair organiser Adsale, cannot handle. An industry connoisseur with years of experience organising what has no doubt become one of the leading plastics events of our time, it seems unlikely that anything would unsettle a man who if not all has certainly seen a lot. But like Superman’s weakness is kryptonite, the one thing that can rain on Stanley Chu’s parade is the weather.

While a downpour of literal cats and dogs might cloud the experience of visitors to "Chinaplas", it is no secret that rain also makes the flowers grow. Maybe that is the reason behind the fair’s 30 successful editions?
