A 22 metre high golden frogzilla is currently floating across Beijing’s Yu Yuan Tan Park. Made of plastic, the blow-up amphibian has become the latest attraction in the Chinese capital. Although the artist behind the installation has so far remained mum about his intended message, Chinese twitter is alive with messages claiming the toad’s face looks a lot like Jiang Zemin, the former general secretary of the country’s Communist Party.
The Chinese censor has meanwhile stepped in, deleting all reports about the installation in official media. A sign of good fortune in China, this particular toad may actually have brought its creator tough luck.
