Oh Superman, where are you now? / Polyurethane captures and absorbs bullets
Catching bullets without being hurt is no problem for the average superhero like Superman, Batman or Captain America. Unfortunately, these skills remained limited to the realm of fiction. Scientists from Rice University in Houston, Texas / USA might now turn fantasy into reality: They have discovered a polyurethane material that can capture and absorb bullets fired from a gun. The material remains sound as it surrounds the bullet and shows no signs of damage, the scientists say.
