After the widely successful launch of Plasteurope.com’s poll on the European plastics industry’s business performance and outlook in 2019, the Plasteurope.com Readers Survey is back with its eighth edition and is now open until 22 July. We invite you to spend just a few minutes to answer some short questions that will help you, and us, gain insight into the current mood of the industry and help shape the outlook for H2 2022.
To dig deeper into the cost explosions all over the world and uncertainties caused by the ongoing war, the latest survey also features insightful questions on the subjects. What do you have to gain from responding? As a participant, you receive an executive summary and access to the exclusive evaluation with details of the results.
Now more than ever, it is essential to have a barometer to help understand the rapidly changing situation in the plastics industry. According to the previous Plasteurope.com Readers Survey in January 2022, a majority of the European industry said it expected bottlenecks to ease in H2 2022, but that was before Russia decided to invade Ukraine. In the flash survey on Russian gas, conducted by Plasteurope.com in May this year, it became clear that the European plastics industry is heavily dependent on energy supplies from the aggressor country, as a good half of the companies surveyed feared a halt to natural gas shipments from Russia. Additionally, 63% of producers in Europe voiced concerns about supply cut-off of Russian gas.
Now, with the eighth Plasteurope.com Readers Survey, we can see to what extent most European companies are prepared to absorb these ongoing uncertainties, and how, if at all, they plan to manage the repercussions of the latest geopolitical and economic issues.
