Mitsubishi takes over all of Japan Polychem

Japan's Mitsubishi Chemical (www.m-kagaku.co.jp), Tokyo, has agreed to take over 100% of polyolefins producer Japan Polychem from its joint venture partner Tonen Chemical, a subsidiary of TonenGeneral (www.tonengeneral.co.jp), Tokyo. Japan Polychem has annual production capacity for 1.1m t of PP and 900,000 t/y of PE. TonenGeneral is majority owned (50.2%) by US oil and petrochemicals giant ExxonMobil (www.exxonmobil.com), Houston / Texas.
