Chevron Phillips Chemical starts up new PPS facility
Chevron Phillips Chemical Company (www.cpchem.com), The Woodlands, Texas / USA, has started up its new 6,800 t/y "Ryton" polyphenylene sulphide (PPS) compounding facility in La Porte, Texas. The completion of the unit is a major step in the company's global production strategy "to implement the same compounding technology in Belgium, Singapore and the US," says Michael McDonnell, CPChem's general manager for "Ryton" PPS.
