Alveo and Arkema develop polyether slabstock foam
Alveo (www.alveo.com), Lucerne / Switzerland, and Arkema (www.arkemagroup.com), Paris / France, are planning to develop a new range of high-tech slabstock foams based on the French company's polyether block amide TPE "Pebax". The aim is to ensure processability of the materials by conventional methods. Alveo, a subsidiary of Japan's Sekisui Chemical Company, is specialised in crosslinked polyolefin foams ("Alveolit", "Alveolen"), and also handles European marketing of the "Azote" polyolefin made by the UK's Zotefoams (www.zotefoams.com), Croydon.
