Solvay and Novo in automotive foam partnership
Novo Foam Products, Findlay, Ohio / USA, has chosen Solvay Engineered Polymers (www.solvayengineeredpolymers.com), Auburn Hills, Michigan / USA, as its partner für a new thermoforming process in which two sheets of thermoplastic polyolefins (TPOs) are simultaneously formed around a core of EPP foam. According to Solvay, the process now being used to produce shipping pallets could be applied to manufacturing automotive parts such as trunk or storage floors or compartment coverings.
