EPS insulation boards manufacturer consolidates production / End of the road for German plant

Due to the tense situation in the construction sector, German EPS insulation material manufacturer Philippine Dämmstoffsysteme (Castrop-Rauxel; www.philippine-eps.de) is having to cease production at its Schkopau site in Germany at the end of 2025. Sixteen employees are to be affected by the closure of the plant, which Philippine has been operating since 1992.
According to the company, this measure will consolidate production at the only remaining site in Castrop-Rauxel, Germany, which employs around 60. Philippine Dämmstoffsysteme is part of the Philippine Saarpor Group (Neunkirchen, Germany).
The family-owned company’s EPS materials are produced for application in flat roof, façade, and floor insulation. In addition to Germany, the sales areas include the Benelux countries and France.
