It would seem the decision follows the apparent resolution of logistics disruptions that had previously forced the company to declare force majeure in mid-April. As reported at the time, the outage was triggered by a rail line closure near Mazingarbe after a train accident, which blocked deliveries of vinyl chloride monomer, a key upstream feedstock for PVC production.

In the latest notice, signed by Rudy Miller, vice-president of the vinyls business, the company did not elaborate further but confirmed that normal supply conditions have now resumed.
The lifting of the force majeure is expected to ease pressure on the European PVC market, which has been facing tight supply due to a combination of feedstock constraints and ongoing production issues.
