Stephan Karl appointed new general manager at Tetra Pak Mid Europe

On 1 April 2013, Stephan Karl took over as general manager of Tetra Pak Mid Europe – encompassing the Swedish packaging giant Tetra Pak’s (Lund; www.tetrapak.com) activities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. He replaces Svend Weidemann, who has decided to leave the group.
Karl first joined Tetra Pak in 1995 as a trainee and most recently served as vice president and cluster leader at Tetra Pak Greater China. The main task in his new position will be to bring about a strategic reorientation of Tetra Pak Mid Europe and secure the company’s leading market position in Germany.
