Personnel reshuffle at BASF in Ludwigshafen

On 1 July 2013, Bernhard Nick will take over as head of Strategic Planning & Controlling at German chemical giant BASF (Ludwigshafen; www.basf.com). He currently serves as president of the group’s Verbund Site Management Europe division. Nick will succeed Walter Gramlich, who is set to retire in June this year.
Nick’s current post, which includes the management of BASF’s Ludwigshafen site, will be filled by Friedrich Seitz on 1 June 2013. The latter’s current position as head of the group’s Process Research & Chemical Engineering division will in turn be assumed by Peter Schuhmacher on 1 May 2012. Schuhmacher currently acts as senior vice president Strategic Planning.
Nick’s current post, which includes the management of BASF’s Ludwigshafen site, will be filled by Friedrich Seitz on 1 June 2013. The latter’s current position as head of the group’s Process Research & Chemical Engineering division will in turn be assumed by Peter Schuhmacher on 1 May 2012.
