Walter Guenter new vp for packaging at Huhtamaki

Walter Guenter has been appointed executive vice president, Europe, for rigid packaging at Huhtamaki (Espoo / Finland; www.huhtamaki.com), with effect from 1 September 2006. Guenter, who succeeds Timo Salonen, was most recently interim head of the Finnish group´s European flexibles, films and moulded fibre unit. Salonen´s new position, also as of 1 September, is executive vice president for strategy development.
