PEGUFORM-WERKE
New organisation will simplify business with the auto industry, boost earnings
With effect from 1 October, Klöckner-Werke AG (PO Box 100853, D-47008 Duisburg) has reorganised the activities that formerly were part of Eurotec Systemteile GmbH. This intermediate holding has been merged into Peguform-Werke GmbH (HQ: PO Box 1151, D-79264 Bötzingen). Foreign subsidiaries Inerga SA (Carretera B 142 A, E-08213 Polinya), Manducher SA (F-01102 Oyonnax) and Plastimat a.s. (Kubelikova 604, CZ-46078 Liberec) will trade as Peguform Iberica, Peguform France and Peguform Bohemia. According to parent company Klöckner, the tighter organisation will help the group to deal with the automotive industry on an international level. Another objective is surely to give the companies the boost needed to return a profit.
New chairman of Peguform's managing board is Klöckner managing board member Matt H. de Graef, who has responsibility for strategy, marketing and quality control. Deputy chairman Werner M. Deggin is in charge of distribution, product development and product-related R&D. Responsibilities of Dieter P. Belle include finance, controlling and purchasing, while Dr. Reinhard W. Müller will oversee production, process development, logistics and personnel.
The new Peguform group's portfolio encompasses plastic components and systems for the auto industry, including bumpers, door liners, instrument panels, rear doors and hubcaps. It also produces plastics for consumer applications. The group employs around 6,700 people at 16 locations in Europe. Management said earlier the group as constituted before the merger hoped to move into profit by financial year 1996-97. In 1995-96 (30 September), the bottom line was expected to be negative again.
