German packaging manufacturer Paccor (Düsseldorf; www.paccor.com) has appointed Kilian Braunsdorf as CEO. He succeeds Andreas Schütte, who had held the position since March 2019 (see Plasteurope.com of 20.02.2019) and departed on 1 September upon completion of the acquisition by Danish competitor Faerch (Holstebro; www.faerch.com).

Having taken on various leadership positions in the packaging industry, Braunsdorf joined the Paccor executive board in July 2020 and also served as CFO. He has a degree in industrial engineering and started out working in auditing and management consulting.

Faerch took over its larger German competitor at the start of the year (see Plasteurope.com of 04.01.2022). The Danish packaging maker’s CEO Lars Gade Hansen said Paccor would “continue to operate as a separate company” and announced a comprehensive investment programme for the acquired firm, which employs around 4,000 at 18 production sites in Asia, Europe, and the US. Paccor’s UK business is being spun off as it was not part of the takeover deal.
