OKT KUNSTSTOFFTECHNIK
Polish subsidiary expands / Success in Eastern Europe / Capacity doubled
At the beginning of June, OSP Plastics Production Sp. z.o.o. (ul Mokra 3, PL-85834 Bydgoszcz), a 100% subsidiary of OKT Kunststofftechnik GmbH (D-32351 Stemwede), moved into their new custom built premises. With this move OSP more than doubled their production capacity and now produce plastics household articles for the kitchen and bathroom as well as custom manufactured industrial parts, on 14 injection moulding machines with clamping force between 35 and 1300 t.
In addition to their own established Polish trademark, "OSP", the company has also introduced some of the "Revolit" line of articles to their range. OSP was originally established as a joint venture, where OKT had an initial 33.3% stake. In 1993, OKT, a 100% subsidiary of Wrede Industrieholding GmbH & Co KG (PO Box 1609, D-59706 Arensberg), bought out the remainder of OSP. Even if the Polish company had been originally founded just as "an extended workbench" to supply its German owner with plastics housewares, it was already supplying more than 90% of its production within Eastern Europe by 1995. OSP is one of the two largest manufacturers of plastics housewares in Poland.
