NOLATO
Divestment of subsidiary in Sweden to UK's Essentra
Swedish injection moulding company Nolato (Torekov / Sweden; www.nolato.com) sold its subsidiary Nolato Hertila to the plastics processing group Essentra (Milton Keynes / UK; www.essentra.com) on 5 July 2018. The purchase price for the plant in Åstorp / Sweden is SEK 58m (EUR 5.7m).
Nolato Hertila has 25 employees in Åstorp, where it manufactures caps and plugs and other plastic protective components for industrial end markets that include the automotive, mining, coating, hydraulics and medical sectors. For the year ended 31 December 2017, Hertila generated revenue of around SEK 40m. Nolato is focusing on developing and manufacturing customised products for the automotive sector and general industry.
Hertila will be reported under the Essentra's Components division. About the acquisition, Essentra CEO Paul Forman says it furthers the company's "Components division strategy being put into action, following on from the Micro Plastics transaction at the end of last year, where the integration is in line with expectations." In December 2017, UK company announced its acquisition of the US-based Micro Plastics, which manufactures PA fasteners and other plastic components for industrial end markets.
