NEWS FROM KI GROUP
"Plastics Exchange" trading platform relaunched / Improved design and functionality / Sell and search polymers online free of charge
Clearer, more comprehensive and more functional: this is how the completely revamped “Plastics Exchange” by the KunststoffWeb news portal, operated by Plasteurope.com’s parent company, KI Group (Bad Homburg / Germany; www.ki.de), looks and feels after the relaunch. Originally launched in 2012, the feedstock exchange has since developed into one of the largest online trading platforms for residual plastics volumes, recyclates, post-consumer and post-industrial waste – with more than 5,000 users and about 1,600 up-to-date commodity offers and requests.

With support from the EU’s “PolyCE” project, the Plastics Exchange platform now appears in a new, contemporary and responsive design – fit for all common devices.

Numerous new functions are now available, which makes searching for feedstocks and offering your own materials more efficient and convenient. The materials search, for example, has been completely redesigned. It is now possible to search for several material grades at the same time. The innovative “Info-Score” provides an indication of the quality of information provided with each offer during your search. Among other things, the description, illustration and any attached supplementary documents can be assessed. Users will also be able to filter offers based on material specifications, such as filler content, flammability, impact strength and much more. Searches can be saved for reuse later, including all search settings. Users can also have suitable offers sent to them by email.

When offering regrinds/flakes or bale goods, it is now also possible to specify volumes of material blends with up to three different components, including their respective proportions. Another new functionality is the automatic translation of German-language titles and descriptions into English and vice versa.

Also, a reputation score illustrates the trustworthiness of all companies using the Plastics Exchange. To increase discretion, all advertisements will in future be placed anonymously.

Only one thing has remained the same: using the Plastics Exchange is still free of charge for sellers and buyers!
