German industrial holding company Mutares (Munich; www.mutares.de) has completed the acquisition of the truck supplier business from French automotive components supplier Plastic Omnium (Levallois; https://plasticomnium.com, see Plasteurope.com of 23.11.2016). The business generated revenue of around EUR 200m in 2016, with 1,500 employees and production facilities in France (5), China (2), Germany (1) and Mexico (1). The product portfolio includes exterior components and modules for truck cabins.

Through integration with the electrical engineering and instrumentation provider STS Group (Waterford / Ireland; www.stsgroup.ie), mutares creates a global truck supplier with a turnover of EUR 400m and 2,700 employees in 16 plants.
