The plastics additives manufacturer added that the collaboration integrates its Millad NX 8000 ECO clarifying agent into OQ’s polypropylene formulation, enabling the production of thin-walled packaging and reusable products that demand clarity and strong organoleptic performance. According to both companies, the grade can be processed at lower temperatures, delivering up to 10% energy savings and shorter cycle times compared with conventional alternatives.

Random copolymers, produced by incorporating ethylene into the PP structure during polymerisation, are known for their clarity, gloss, and enhanced impact resistance. When clarified, these materials can be used in high-transparency, durable applications such as food containers and sports bottles.
The launch marks OQ’s first injection-moulding grade developed using Milliken’s clarifying technology, expanding its Luban portfolio in response to increasing market demand for sustainable and high-performance polymer solutions.
