Packaging conglomerate adds Italian reconditioning firm

Mauser Packaging Solutions (Oak Brook, Illinois / USA; www.mauserpackaging.com) has announced the acquisition of EuroVeneta Fusti (EVF, Mira / Italy; www.eurovenetafusti.it) through its Italian joint venture Maider NGC (Villastellone; www.maiderncg.com). The transaction will help extend Mauser’s offering of plastic industrial packaging as well as steel drum packaging and reconditioning IBC services within the Italian market, Mauser said in a statement. The deal includes EVF’s reconditioning sites in Villastellone and Mira.

EVF’s founder Luciano Bazzato will join the Mauser management team. Reconditioning operations will continue under the leadership of Federico Corsinotti, managing director reconditioning, and Laura Lorenzi, regional operations manager South Europe, according to the company.
