Anti-scratch additive said to eliminate white surface film on PP
German masterbatch manufacturer Lifocolor (Lichtenfels; has announced the introduction of an anti-scratch additive that prevents the white build-up caused by other such materials, especially on dark surfaces. “Lifoslip D 20/112 PP” targets polypropylene housing and lining applications in the cosmetics and packaging industries, the company reported.

The material is said to be suitable for production processes with PP-H, PP-C and PP-R. Designed to be added in doses (let-down ratio) of 2-3%, it offers improved thermal stability and good organoleptic qualities, the suppler noted.
