US speciality chemicals producer Lubrizol (Wickliffe, Ohio; www.lubrizol.com) has entered into a distribution agreement with Lehmann & Voss’ (LuV, Hamburg / Germany; www.lehvoss.de) Italian subsidiary, Lehvoss Italia. Under the terms of the deal, the German compounder and distributor will oversee the sales of Lubrizol’s “Pearlbond” thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) for reactive hot melts, as well as its “Pearlstick” TPU for solvent-based adhesives in Italy.

The materials are mostly used in the transportation, textiles and furniture segments. Javier Tortosa, business manager at Lubrizol Engineered Polymers, said the agreement will help the company expand the growth of its speciality TPU solutions in Italy.

Another German distributor, Velox (Hamburg; www.velox.com), last year started selling Lubrizol’s TPUs in Spain (see Plasteurope.com of 19.02.2015).
