Expanding German production site / Additional land for production and storage capacities
German specialty chemicals producer and distributor Lehmann & Voss (Hamburg; www.lehvoss.de) has acquired an 8,400 m2 plot next to its existing production site in Hamburg-Wandsbek that will allow it to significantly expand production and storage capacities. Speaking to Plasteurope.com, a company spokeswoman said it still remains unclear whether the land will be used to house a production expansion or additional storage space, merely saying that the group had “ambitious” plans for next year, when it expects to install a new extruder.
Lehmann & Voss develops and produces customized additive masterbatches in Hamburg-Wandsbek, including its proprietary “Luvofilm”, “Luvopor” and “Luvogard” product range as well as its high-performance “Luvocom” compounds. The group also turns out pastes and dry liquids at the site, where some 170 workers are employed.
