Acquisition of Solvay's phosphorus additives business complete
Announced in November 2017, the acquisition of the US-based phosphorus additives division of Solvay (Brussels / Belgium; www.solvay.com) by speciality chemicals group Lanxess (Cologne / Germany; www.lanxess.com) has been successfully completed – see Plasteurope.com of 17.11.2017. The business generates annual sales of around EUR 65m, and owns the flame retardant additives and agrochemicals production site in Charleston, South Carolina / USA, with six production facilities and around 90 employees.
