“Together through challenging times” – that’s the motto of the high-level reception being hosted by German industry network Kunststoffland NRW (Düsseldorf; www.kunststoffland-nrw.de) on 7 October, on the eve of the K 2025 trade fair in Düsseldorf. Decision makers from politics, business, and industry alike are invited to engage in discussions regarding current issues, concerns, and challenges facing the global plastics supply chain. Similar networking events were held ahead of the K fairs in 2019 and 2022, each attended by several hundred guests.

“In light of the current geopolitical situation, the massive challenges in energy, supply chains and pricing, as well as the increasing demands in areas such as the circular economy, digitalisation, and the shortage of skilled labour”, it is “extremely important” for the industry to seek dialogue with political leaders, emphasised Kunststoffland NRW managing director Ron Brinitzer.

Among those expected at this year’s high-level reception are the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia’s Minister-President Hendrik Wüst and the State Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy, Mona Neubaur. Industry representatives from companies such as Evonik, Barlog, Currenta, and Envalior are also anticipated to take part in the evening event. Wolfram Diener, chairperson and CEO of the trade fair’s organiser Messe Düsseldorf, is likewise scheduled to be in attendance.

The reception by Kunststoffland NRW, which is supported by the KI.PIE Group as part of a media partnership, will take place on Tuesday, 7 October, starting at 5:15 pm at the Rheinterrasse in Düsseldorf. Further details about the programme and registration options can be found here.
