Messe Düsseldorf launches K-Alliance for global plastics and rubber trade fairs / Guided tours to be offered at K show
— By Plasteurope.com staff —

Organiser of the world-leading K trade fair, Messe Düsseldorf has rebranded its international plastics and rubber portfolio under a new umbrella name, K-Alliance, replacing the former Global Gate brand. The move is intended to highlight the company’s global network of partnerships and events across the industry.

According to Thomas Franken, director of K, the new name shifts focus from simple market entry support to long-term strategic alliances within the sector. “The designation K-Alliance now places a clearer focus on the strong partnerships and alliances that our constantly growing, worldwide network of trade fairs related to plastics and rubber stands for,” he said.

In 2026, the line-up is expected to feature events such as Plastindia, Plastics & Rubber Vietnam, Chinaplas, Plast Alger (Algeria), Colombiaplast (Colombia), Plastics & Rubber Thailand, and Central Asia Plast World (Kazakhstan). Arabplast (UAE) is set to return in 2027.

The latest addition to the network is Saudi Plastics & Petrochem, scheduled for 12-15 April 2026 in Riyadh, running alongside Saudi Print & Pack.

The next edition of Messe Düsseldorf’s flagship trade fair, K 2025, is set to take place from 8-15 October in Düsseldorf, Germany. The 2022 edition attracted nearly 178,000 visitors from 167 countries and featured over 3,200 exhibitors showcasing technologies in production, processing, and finishing.
