Flame retardant TPEs for construction applications / Series of compounds to be introduced at “K 2016”
Thermoplastic elastomer producer Kraiburg TPE (Waldkraiburg / Germany; www.kraiburg-tpe.com) will unveil its FR/AD1 series of flame retardant TPEs at “K 2016” (www.k-online.de), to be held in Düsseldorf / Germany from 19 to 26 October. The compounds have been developed for applications in the construction industry, where they can be used in flexible cable installation in flush mounting boxes.
The material is flame retardant to UL94 standard and is included in flammability class V0. In addition, it features good adhesion with ABS and PC in two-component injection moulding. The flame retardant compounds are highly elastic and are free of latex, PVC and halogen.
Other products to be displayed by the company at K 2016 will include materials for drinking water applications as well as under-the-hood automotive applications.
