The German subsidiary of Japanese foam manufacturer JSP (Tokyo; www.jsp.com) said it has acquired full ownership of mouldmaking and injection moulding specialist Happ (Ruppichteroth, Germany; www.happ-gmbh.de) as of early July. JSP had already held a 70% stake in the company since September 2023. The purchase price was not disclosed.
In a parallel move, JSP said it has also acquired Italian company Ghepi (Cavriago; www.ghepi.com) in full via its French subsidiary. The family-run firm specialises in the replacement of metal components with high-performance polymers, particularly for automotive applications. JSP had previously held a 35% stake in Ghepi since January 2022. No financial details were disclosed for this transaction, either.
