INEOS STYROLUTION
Styrenic grades introduced for medical equipment applications
Styrenics producer Ineos Styrolution (Frankfurt / Germany; www.ineos-styrolution.com) has introduced two grades for use by medical device manufacturers.

“Novodur” HD M203FC G3 is a glass fibre-filled medical ABS grade certified to biocompatibility standards that delivers increased stiffness in combination with high flowability, making it suitable for applications including medical spikes and other uses that require structural stability.

“Styrolux” 4G60 styrene-butadiene copolymer (SBC) has been designed for the development of drip chambers in IV sets. It offers softness, elasticity and transparency, with bonding properties that make it suitable for the production of drip chamber containers.
