INDUSTRIE GENERALI
First high-performance extruder in Germany delivered / Output over 2,000 kg/h
The Plastics Mechanical Engineering Division of Industrie Generali SpA (Via Magnago 2, I-20010 Buscate/MI) recently delivered to Veka Umwelttechnik GmbH (D-99947 Behringen) the first "Bistadio" high-performance extruder to be ordered by a German company. This model is a two-storey extruder with two cylinders, one above the other, in which independently driven twin screws run in opposite directions. According to the company, a special feature of the machine is its high output – 2,000 kg of PVC granulate per hour – despite its energy efficiency. The extruder, which was custom-made for Veka Umwelttechnik, is used to regranulate PVC window material. Extruders of this type, which Industrie Generali originally intended only for use in its own compound production, have now been sold to customers in China, Korea, Malaysia, Italy and Turkey.

At its Samarate site (Via Milano 201, I-21017 Samarate/VA), Industrie Generali produces PVC, PVC compounds, and softeners for technical applications as well as masterbatches. Its German branch is Industrie Generali Deutschland GmbH (PO Box 130270, D-65090 Wiesbaden).
