HUNTSMAN
“Tioxide” pigment family is extended
A titanium dioxide (TiO2) pigment with improved colouring properties, which has been developed to process well, even at high temperatures, has been introduced by Huntsman (The Woodlands, Texas / USA; www.huntsman.com).
“Tioxide” TR48 white pigment has been developed for use in the production of polyolefin master batches, BOPP films and engineering compounds. It is easy to disperse, has high tint reduction capabilities and can be used in formulations with low VOC levels. Typical applications include premium and general packaging systems and the production of plastics parts for consumer electronic devices and the automotive industry.
The new TiO2 pigment will be introduced at the upcoming "K" fair (www.k-online.de), held in Düsseldorf / Germany from 19-28 October this year.
