HP PELZER
Automotive components supplier to expand plant in the USA / Production of PU-foam-backed interior parts
For a sum of USD 13.5m (EUR 12.7m), HP Pelzer Automotive Systems is to expand the production facility at its US site in Port Huron, Michigan. The subsidiary of auto parts supplier HP Pelzer (Witten / Germany; www.pelzer.de) plans to build a third hall on the site and, in the medium term, create a good 120 new jobs. The state government office, Michigan Economic Development Corporation, is supporting the plan to the tune of just under USD 500,000.

HP Pelzer, which has been part of Adler Group (Villastellone / Italy; www.adlergroup.it) since 2013, currently operates four plants in Michigan. The production site in Troy, Michigan also accommodates the North American headquarters.

In Port Huron, plants 1 and 5 each have an area of 6,000 m², and produce PU-foam-backed dashboards, wheel arch liners, trunk liners and acoustic insulation. Plant 1 also has its own polyol formulating facility.
