HOFFMANN NEOPAC
New tube production line in Hungary
Swiss tube manufacturer Hoffmann Neopac (Thun; www.hoffmannneopac.ch) is installing another production line at its plant in Debrecen / Hungary. “Due to the steep rise in demand, we experienced several capacity bottlenecks in 2016,” CEO Mark Aegler explained, adding that, “This resulted in long delivery times, especially in the cosmetics business – a fact we want to change as quickly as possible.” The new line with capacity for 65m PE and coex tubes annually is expected to start up in Q1 this year. The investment also includes a new printing facility, capable of printing along the entire tube.

The company is also investing in its planning capacity. The installation of an automatic tool is supposed to help optimise order handling capacity at the group’s plants in Oberdiessbach / Switzerland and Debrecen, which in turn will contribute to improving production flow.
