Distributor Grässlin (Villingen-Schwenningen, Germany; www.graesslin-kunststoffe.de) has added thermoplastic elastomers from Turkish manufacturer Elastron (Gebze; www.elastron.com) to its portfolio. According to the German company, the partnership will focus in particular on the thermoplastic vulcanisates (TPV) produced by the Turkish elastomer specialist. The distribution agreement is effective immediately and applies to the German market.

TPV are used in applications where high-temperature resistance and elasticity are required. According to the information provided, the properties of the Elastron V products range from high flowability to a particularly low coefficient of friction and halogen-free flame retardancy.
