New production hall in Estonia / Large order from Norway
Carving out a more distinct market position for itself in the Baltic states and Scandinavia, Greiner Packaging International (Kremsmünster / Austria; www.greiner-gpi.com) has opened a new production hall in Tabasalu / Estonia. Following a year of construction, the new 3,700 m² hall was inaugurated on 3 September.

The packaging group’s Kavo division also has landed a new order from Norway’s Orkla (Oslo; www.orkla.com) for 4.4 l HDPE ketchup and mustard bottles, intended mostly for large consumers like company canteens or kiosks.

With a workforce of 2,935 employees in 21 sites throughout Europe, Greiner Packaging is one of Europe’s leading packaging companies. Based on 2008 sales figures (EUR 376m), Greiner Packaging accounts for about 34% of total sales achieved by the entire Greiner Group.
