Pete Watson will take over as chief executive and president of industrial packaging producer Greif (Delaware, Ohio / USA; www.greif.com) on 1 November. He succeeds David Fischer, who will remain with the company until the end of this year to ensure a smooth transition. Watson first joined Greif in 1999 and most recently served as chief operating officer.

Greif has been busy realigning its global Rigid Industrial Packaging and Services business units. In an effort to adjust to market trends and customer requirements, the company has consolidated several operations in the US and in Germany this year (see Plasteurope.com of 10.03.2015).
