GLOBAL EPP
Cash flow problems lead to administration
Global Engineering Plastic Products (Global EPP, Leicester / UK; www.globalepp.com) went into administration on 30 November 2007 due to cash flow problems. Three administrators from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) have been jointly appointed. Global EPP manufactures semi-finished engineering plastics for use in a large number of industries including automotive and medical and currently employs 300 people. In September 2007, the company changed its name from Nylacast Materials to Global EPP as part of a rebranding programme – see Plasteurope.com of 07.09.2007. The renamed company was launched at K 2007.
Matthew Hammond, PwC partner and one of the joint administrators, said: “Global Engineering Plastic Products is a well-established business in the (UK’s) Midlands and a leader in the market for semi finished engineering plastics. We are continuing to trade the business and are seeking to achieve a going concern sale.”
