New facility in Mexico officially opened / Expansion of US production plant
Swiss group Georg Utz (Bremgarten; www.utzgroup.com) officially opened its production site in Mexico on 17 August 2017. The new plant in San Miguel de Allende / Mexico is specialised in thermoforming and also supplies injection-moulded containers and pallets via its warehouse. The Swiss manufacturer of load carriers is intending to produce the pallets and containers on-site too in the medium term. With this new facility, the Utz group now has eight production sites worldwide.

Similarly, on the other side of the Atlantic, the Utz group is investing in its US plant in the Indianapolis area. The capacity of the location is being doubled in light of the company's growth there. Utz has been represented in the US since 2003, with a production plant there since 2009.
