UK PVC piping business sold to Polypipe
Swiss sanitary products group Geberit International (Jona; www.geberit.com) has sold its UK PVC piping business to Polypipe (Doncaster / UK; www.polypipe.com) for GBP 42.5m (EUR 62.6m). The deal, which means that Geberit has completed the disposal of all of its non-core PVC activities, becomes effective on 1 July 2007. The transaction covers production and storage facilities at Aylesford / UK, the UK PVC sales team of around 170, and the "Terrain" drainage brand. In 2006, the business had sales of GBP 25.0m.
