Coloured and additive masterbatch producer Gabriel-Chemie (Gumpoldskirchen / Austria; www.gabriel-chemie.com) is introducing a range of masterbatches for PET. The portfolio includes a line of additive-based products, as well as standard and custom colours. Highlights of the range are an acetaldehyde scavenger and a chain extender, which is capable of upgrading the quality and performance of recycled PET. Other masterbatches are for anti-block, slip and UV absorption. The range is available throughout the Gabriel-Chemie group but was launched initially in the UK, where it has established a co-operation agreement with Piovan (www.piovan.com) on dosing equipment.
