The Fakuma plastics trade fair (www.fakuma-messe.de) is set to remain in Friedrichshafen, Germany, at least until 2030. The industry event’s organiser, P.E. Schall (Frickenhausen, Germany; www.schall-messen.de), and Messe Friedrichshafen announced that they have extended their contract accordingly. Friedrichshafen stands out thanks to its “functionality and family-like atmosphere”, explained P.E. Schall managing director Bettina Schall. “We see great potential to continue developing Fakuma successfully.” She did not, however, reveal what exactly that might entail.

With this renewed commitment to the location on Lake Constance, rumours that Fakuma was planning to relocate to Stuttgart are likely to quiet down. The plastics trade fair, which most recently drew more than 1,600 exhibitors to Friedrichshafen in October 2024, is scheduled to take place for the 30th time next year, from 12 to 16 October 2026.
