DIDP achieves early REACH registration
General purpose phthalate plasticiser DIDP has been registered by ExxonMobil Chemical Holland (Rotterdam / The Netherlands; www.exxonmobilchemical.com) under the EU’s REACH (registration, evaluation, authorisation and restriction of chemical substances) scheme one year ahead of the relevant deadline. The registration allows the company to manufacture within the EU and import “Jayflex” DIDP into the EU in quantities greater than 1000 t/y. Identified applications of DIDP in the REACH registration include use as a plasticiser for PVC (including compounding and formulation), non-PVC polymers (including compounding and formulation) and coatings and printing inks.
