New polyamide moulding compound for optical applications
German chemicals and plastics producer Evonik (Essen; www.evonik.com) will present its new “Trogamid myCX high flow” polyamide moulding compound at the Italian “MIDO 2019” eyewear trade fair taking place from 23 to 25 February. The company says its new high-performance polymer excels in transparency, wear comfort and durability as well as enhanced processing capabilities due to the significantly improved flowability.

The transparent Trogamid myCX high flow is designed in particular for demanding optical applications such as high-end lenses and visors. It offers durability and safety due to its mechanical properties, resistance to stress cracking and breaking strength and can be combined with all frame materials, the company says.
