Organised under the theme Moving into a New Era of Responsible and Holistic Sustainability, the summit will unite industry leaders, policymakers, innovators, and environmental experts for a day of dialogue, networking, and knowledge exchange.
European Masterbatchers and Compounders (EuMBC, Brussels; www.compounders.eu) a sub-group of European Plastics Converters (EuPC, Brussels; www.plasticsconverters.eu), is to support the event. The KI.PIE Group is a media partner for the summit this year.
Building on the success of the event’s debut in 2022, PSGE 2025 comes at a critical time – 10 years after the Paris Agreement, and with just five years left to meet global targets for energy transition and decarbonisation. With mandatory ESG regulations for industries, products, and even consumer behaviour now being implemented, the plastics sector faces urgent pressure to adapt.

Key topics at the summit are expected to include circularity, resilience, adaptation, regeneration, safety, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Four high-level debate panels will explore challenges and solutions across the economy, society, industry, and environment. Additional sessions will focus on issues such as ocean health, recycling, sustainable resource use, and the role of technology and behavioural change in shaping a greener future.
Attendees can also expect:
- a showcase of 14 groundbreaking projects under Portugal’s Sustainable Plastics Mobilising Agenda
- insights into circular design, mechanical and chemical recycling, traceability, sustainable finance, and AI applications
- networking opportunities with global experts, innovators, and decision-makers
