"Petrochemical and Refining Congress – Europe 2020" to take place online in September
Organiser BGS Group (London / UK; www.bgs-group.eu) has announced that its 2020 edition of the “Petrochemical and Refining Congress – Europe” (PRC Europe 2020) will take place online from 28-30 September 2020. The event will have various players along the value chain – including oil and gas companies, licensors, chemical companies, refinery and petrochemical companies as well as governmental bodies and engineering, procurement and construction contractors – discussing responsible consumption and production such as alternative fuel and industrial waste recycling as a way to make the downstream market cleaner.
With the motto “Recycling. Reprocessing. Refining.” a main focus of the congress is recycling initiatives. The event’s eco-partner BASF (Ludwisghafen / Germany; www.basf.com) will present its “ChemCyclingTM” project, which seeks to create a circular economy model for high-performance plastics in the chemical industry and co-host OMV (Vienna / Austria; www.omv.com) will talk about its “ReOil” innovation project. Other presentations include case studies on global solutions for safer and environmentally friendly maintenance, energy transition towards sustainability in downstream business and the presentation of a case study on converting a crude oil refinery into a biorefinery. Among already confirmed participants are Neste, Total, Eni, Gazprom, MOL, Petrobras, Grupa Lotos and other oil & gas companies.
Interested parties can register as exhibitors, delegates, sponsors or speakers on the congress homepage.
In response to the travel constraints in Europe, BGS Group has announced the launch of a new virtual platform – BGS online. According to the company, the interactive platform enables the organisation of a full scope congress rather than a regular webinar or online conference.
