The association for Europe's plastics distributors, EPDA (Salisbury / UK; www.epda.com), will be holding its annual meeting from 13-15 June 2019 in Salzburg / Austria. Wilfried Haslauer, the governor of Salzburg state, will give the opening talk on 14 June. That day, new members will also be welcomed and there will be talks from Thomas Reitsamer (Jodelschule) on team building in the plastics industry, Alexander Kaiser (Minger Kunststofftechnik) on plastics recycling, Susanne Gfatter (Austria's federal chemical industry association FCIO) on a circular economy and Christian Eisenmann (Senoplast) on designing a machine to shred all materials, with a gala dinner following in the evening.

On 15 June, Alexandre Dangis (EuPC) will give the opening talk on the EU plastics strategy, and there will also be a presentation and panel discussion on the results of the EPDA's 2019 questionnaire under the theme "Is processing/getting rid of plastic scrap a source of concern to distribution?" This will be followed by a forum with Matthias Schlesies (CentroPlast) asking "Are you ready for digitalisation, are you ready to race?"

EPDA's member companies come from more than 20 countries involved in a range of distribution and manufacturing activities including plastic sheet, blocks, rods, profiles, tubes, pipe, valves and fittings. The association has an affiliation agreement with International Association of Plastics Distribution (IAPD, Overland Park, Kansas / USA; www.iapd.org), extending the resources available to EPDA members.
