Plastics recycling organisation Recoup (Peterborough / UK; www.recoup.org) will hold its next "Plastics Recycling Conference" at KingsGate Conference Centre in Peterborough / UK on 26 September 2019. Around 400 attendees are expected, with the event bringing together stakeholders, NGOs, local and national government bodies and companies with business interests in plastics recycling. There are four sessions this year to choose from:

• collaborations from across the packaging value chain
• unlocking the potential of collection infrastructure
• the growing issue of farm and horticultural plastics
• building a sustainable circular future in construction

New in 2019, Recoup's event includes a 2-hour seminar on the afternoon of 25 September called "Plastics 101 – An Introduction to Plastics, Resources and Recycling". It will provide an overview of plastics and the recycling value chain and include an introduction to topics including polymers and uses, product and packaging manufacturing, the plastic resource value chain, collections, reprocessing, markets and legislation. The workshop is designed to help build a base understanding for conference delegates and employees who may be new to the industry or the field of plastics resources and recycling. There will also be a networking dinner on 25 September.
